Most months, keeping your books current takes very little from you. Here is the short list, and what each item does.
- Bank, credit card, and loan statements. If we already have view-only access or e-statement delivery set up, this happens automatically and you can skip it. If you are still forwarding statements by hand, there is an easier way.
- Answers to open questions. A handful of transactions each month need context only you have. We send those over as messages, and a one-line reply on each is plenty.
- Receipts for unusual purchases. Day-to-day spending does not need receipts from you. For large or out-of-pattern purchases we may ask for one so the books tell the right story.
That is the whole list. When something new comes up, a loan, a piece of equipment, a notice in the mail, send it over and we will take it from there.
