Payroll, what to send and when

Once payroll is set up, your part is small. Hours come in on time, changes get flagged early, and we take care of the rest, including the filings and deposits that come with payroll.

Each pay period

Send hours and any one-time items such as bonuses, reimbursements, or corrections by the deadline we set for your payroll schedule. If your team is salaried and nothing changed, there is usually nothing to send at all.

When someone joins

Before their first payday we need the completed W-4, the state withholding form, direct deposit details, and their start date. Send them through the secure upload and we will have your new hire ready to pay.

When something changes

Pay rate changes, address changes, and terminations all affect payroll and its filings. A quick note as soon as you know keeps every paycheck right the first time.

Questions about withholding elections belong with your tax preparer, and we are glad to coordinate with them.
